Parker Kantos
Pastor
Parker has been our pastor here since 2021. He is firmly rooted in taking the church beyond the “four walls on a Sunday” as well as encouraging Biblical curiosity and exploring questions about faith, the church, and theology. He is a graduate of Luther Seminary and completed his undergraduate at Waynesburg University double majoring in Criminal Justice Administration and Political Science while minoring in History and Philoshophy.
Parker enjoys being outdoors, hiking, Star Wars, watching movies, visiting breweries, Star Wars, food, and Star Wars. Have we mentioned he likes Star Wars?

Amy Bartoli
Music Director
Amy is our Music Director here at Brighton Heights Lutheran Church. We are not sure that “no” is in her vocabulary when it comes to trying new things in worship with music. She has a wide range of music from praise songs to good old hymns that she joyfully leads during worship.
Amy is a mom to her three amazing kids Johanna, Ricky, and Darby. In her free time, she loves to read, sew, craft, and watch mysteries.
Amy brings a whole bunch of experience to this role as she started piano lessons at 4 years old in Monroeville, PA. She studied and performed throughout her childhood and college years. In addition to the piano, Amy started playing the organ at church at 7 years old. She has been active in Christian Formation and music leading since then at various churches.
Amy received Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from WVU in Music Education and Applied Piano Pedagogy. After that, she taught General and Choral music for 30+ years in Public and Private schools in PA, VA, and MD from preschool through undergraduate college. Besides all the work she does at Brighton Heights Lutheran Church, she also works at CVSHealth in the PBM Business Configuration department.

Janet Strahoskey
Office Administrator
Janet is newly retired from an illustrious career and decided to dive back in by being the secretary here at Brighton Heights Lutheran Church. Among her experiences are working for Bethlehem Haven (a women’s homeless shelter), Lutheran Services Society, and Avalon Borough (Acting Manager). Janet graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School and attended Penn State, Main Campus for three years. She lives in Avalon with her husband of 42 years, Norman, where, in her spare time, she loves to read, garden, and spoil her grandchildren.
Steve Cvetkovic
Maintenance Manager
Steve has been our maintenance and cleaning expert here since 2012. Our big old church needs a lot of care to be clean, warm, and bright all year. He enjoys seeing the people from the congregation and the community and working on the grounds in the warmer weather.
